FR. PROF. PETER HANNA MADROS (1949-2019)

Palestinian of Armenian extraction born in Jerusalem. A Latin Patriarchate priest and a Canon of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre. Ordained a Priest in Jerusalem in 1972. Translated the Psalter into Arabic, in poetic style. His translation has been acknowledged by the liturgical use. He held a Doctorate in biblical theology, from the Urbanian University in Rome, in 1982. And another Doctorate in biblical sciences universities and seminaries and was interested in various areas such as Holy Scripture, Islamology and History of the Holy Land. He mastered 16 languages, both ancient and modern.
